Christmas Market Events
120 Christmas stands from 12 nations will feature their native foods and Christmas customs as well as handicrafts.
For the next years, for example, candle makers, glass blowers, pewter casters, porcelain painters, lantern makers,
woodcrafters and doll makers have registered for the fair.
A Nativity scene, with a Christmas crip, will be constructed within a 150-square-meter setting on market square.
Visitors can enjoy lots of entertainment on stage and in front of the Nativity scene with opera stars, well-known pop singers from radio
an TV, international dace groups and choral groups. Exibitions, the mechanical musik cabinet and wine museum are
part of the program.
This is the first Christmas market in Europe with its own newspaper and a Christmas CD featuring the starts of the fair nad others.

Children's activities will include painting classes with a well-known artist, a petting zoo with rabbits, Christmas tales in local dialect,
ponny rides, a train, a carousel, clowns and Santa Claus and his helpers.

Restaurants in the vicinity will prepare Christmas dishes from many nations. Information is available from the tourist information office.
Local retail shops will be open and the Köln-Düsseldorfer boat company is offering round trip excurions on the day of the flair.
