History and events
124 christmassy stands from 12 nations with gastronomy and Christmassy tradition from their homeland. They will present their handicrafts in the market. For this year, the candle makers, glass blowers, tin makers, porcelain painters, lantern makers, and puppet makers have registered for the market. A nativity scene in a 70 square metres of landscaping will be built on the Market square.

An extensive programme with opera singers known from radio and television, international dance groups, choirs, Music cabinet, wine museum and art exhibition perform on stage and infront of the nativity scene for the visitors of the Christmas Market.
The first Christmas Market in Europe with its own market newspaper and christmassy CD with the interpretation of the Christmas Market and more. Available at the .
Child entertainment with painting course by a known artist, zoo with rabbits, Christmas story in dialect, pony rides, mini train, carousel, clowns and Santa Claus.
Restaurants in the vicinity will cater christmassy dishes from various nations.
The shops are open all day during the market days, the Bingen- Rüdesheim Shipping Line as well as the KD Shipping Line offer cruises with christmassy programmes on board during the market days.
